NEW ART EXCHANGE
In his second institutional solo show, Bolaji presents
a series of new works for his exhibition titled
"IN PRAISE OF BEAUTY" at the New Art Exchange in Nottingham, England.
in his own words:
Ideals of beauty have existed in every culture and era, attaining, and sustaining these qualities sometimes becomes a cult-like status, but what are the driving forces that lead us to believe in a myth of universal beauty, despite its evolving nature?"
The exhibition will run from the 17th Feb to 4th May 2024.
Bolaji, will showcase a new body of paintings and film, in his new solo show titled:
"TO SPEAK OUT LOUD".
The show will take place at the newly refurbished Gothic Hall, at Galerie Kremers-
Berlin.
The show takes its lead from the unfortunate events in Nigeria where young people were
killed and brutalised in response to their peaceful protests against police brutality.
The ongoing movement is formally known as
END-SARS.
In this new exhibition, Bolaji explores what it means to have a voice, not just political but in all its aspects.
"To Speak Out Loud", will open on the September 15 and close October 14 2023
